Williams Hall

Williams Hall

Description: Williams Hall was a code and life-safety consulting assignment for REI for Williams Hall at 10030 102A Avenue, Edmonton, AB. The work focused on reviewing architectural and mechanical project information and turning the available evidence into a coordinated deliverable for review, construction, permit, or closeout needs.

Problem/Objective: The project required practical engineering support for a building project while keeping the scope aligned with the available drawings, site information, and code or authority requirements.

Method/Process: MNA reviewed the project documents, identified the applicable service scope, coordinated the relevant discipline inputs, and prepared the deliverable around the confirmed building use, location, and project constraints.

Result/Impact: Delivered mechanical engineering review for the documented scope, supporting permit, construction, equipment coordination, or closeout requirements.

Reflection: MNA learned from Williams Hall that mixed-use building projects benefit from making assumptions, site constraints, occupancy interfaces, and compliance evidence explicit; the project reinforced the value of coordinating architectural and mechanical information before closeout or review decisions.
