New Stair and Hi-Rise Wall Penetration

East Loft Hair Salon took over ground floor space of a high rise mixed use building in Calgary. The new entrance is to be made directly to the street level and requires new stairs. Our mechanical consultant noticed that the existing ventilation system does not warrant enough circulation especially for hair salon activity with chemical aerosol concentration in the air. The new opening on the wall needs to be made to facilitate new ventilation ducting for the HRV unit. Structural evaluation is critical to ensure this hole will not compromise building support.
